What is the Wonderland obby?

The Wonderland obby is the core movement loop of the game. Instead of calm corridors, the action splits between platforms you must jump and chases you must outrun, all inside an abandoned fairground that re-randomizes on every attempt.

The community calls the whole package the obby, or obstacle course. It is not a pure parkour track though: the platforming sits alongside Wonderland's survival layer, so every mistimed jump can cost more than a simple drop into the void.

Obby platforms and obstacles

• Floating platforms: suspended pieces over gaps that need timed jumps and, sometimes, a double jump or a momentum boost.
• Slides and ramps: sloped surfaces that launch you forward; do not stop on them.
• Gap jumps: distances that can scale with the map; measure before you leap and do not turn back.
• Doors and locked hallways: some exits only open once you collect Lumins or trigger a lever.
• Environmental traps: gaps, pits, and collapsing floors that shift under your feet when the map changes.

The obby chase sequences

Chases are the other half of the Wonderland obby. On Level 4 the first big pursuit appears, and from there the chase moments grow more aggressive until the hunt for Mr. Sun at the finale, covered in our Wonderland Sun guide.

In a chase you must run and keep pace, not stop to fight. The Mole can only be outrun, and the endless chase forces you to keep moving without pause until the escape gate opens.

Tips to clear the obby

Keep moving. The most common mistake in the Wonderland obby is stopping: most deaths happen the moment you freeze to look around, so keep constant forward pressure through the course.

Control your jump. On ramps and platforms, time the jump and let the slope push you; do not jump too early over long gaps. In co-op, split roles between opening the route with Lumins and covering the escape with Zippy.

Solo versus squad

Yes, you can take on the obby solo. Wonderland supports 1 to 5 players, and going alone is a clean way to learn each level's patterns at your own speed before you bring backup.

With a squad you share lives and can delegate tasks: one gathers Lumins, another distracts the creature, and the last opens the exit. On the later levels and final chases, a team makes everything far more forgiving.

Common difficulties and death causes

Most obby deaths come from dropping into a gap, getting stuck at a locked door, or stopping just as a chase begins. The four difficulty tiers — Easy, Medium, Hard, and Nightmare — make how punishing these are escalate sharply.

Memory helps: note where levers and Lumins cluster in the first stretch of the map. Since the carnival re-randomizes, the reliable edge is mastering mechanics, not memorizing a single route.
